The Summary Statistics screen isdisplayed, as shown in Figure 6-1.The Summary Statistics screen lists values for thecurrent counter against every port on the Switch1000 and it is refreshed approximately every twoseconds. Once values have reached approximately4,000,000,000 they are reset to zero.To view values for a particular counter, select thefirst button displayed at the foot of the SummaryStatistics screen. Pressing the spacebar togglesthrough the available counters and as soon as youmove away from the button, the screen is refreshedto show values for that counter.FRAMES RECEIVED Displays values for the FramesReceived counter; the total number of frames thathave been received by the current port, includingfragments and frames with errors.FRAMES TRANSMITTED Displays values for theFrame Transmitted counter; the total number offrames successfully transmitted by the current port,including fragments and frames with errors.FRAMES FORWARDED Displays the total numberof frames that were received by the current portand forwarded to other ports.Figure 6-1 Summary Statistics screen (3C16900A)FRAMES FILTERED Displays the total number offrames that were filtered because the destinationstation was on the same segment (port) as thesource station.MULTI/BROADCAST (RX) Displays the total numberof frames received by the current port that areaddressed to a multicast or broadcast address.MULTI/BROADCAST (TX) Displays the total numberof frames transmitted by the current port that areaddressed to a multicast or broadcast address.ERRORS Displays the total number of errors whichhave occurred on the current port. Refer to the fielddescription for Errors on page 6-5.CLEAR SCREEN COUNTERS Use this button to setall counters shown on the screen to zero. Use thisbutton for analysis if you wish to see changes incounters over a short period of time. This buttondoes not clear the counters on the device.
