Ensure that you enter the IPaddress of the Switch correctly when invoking theTelnet facility.Traps are not received by the SNMP NetworkManager:Check that the SNMP Network Manager's IP addressand community string are correctly configured.The SNMP Network Manager or Telnet worksta-tion can no longer access the device:Check that Remote Telnet access or Commu-nity-SNMP access is enabled.Check that the port through which you are trying toaccess the device has not been disabled; refer to“Setting Up the Switch Ports” on page 4-12. If it isenabled, check the connections and network cablingat the port.Check that the port through which you are trying toaccess the device is in VLAN 1 (the Default VLAN).Refer to “Setting Up VLANs on the Switch” on page5-8.
