RoseISBN 0-13-812611-9Published by Prentice Halln If you are using IP and you have a BOOTP serverset up correctly on your network, the IP addressfor the Switch is detected automatically and youcan start managing the Switch without any fur-ther configuration.n If you are using the IPX protocol, the Switch isallocated an IPX address automatically. You canstart the SNMP Network Manager and beginmanaging the Switch.n If you are using IP without a BOOTP server, youmust enter the IP address of the Switch beforethe SNMP Network Manager can communicatewith the device.
