Adjustment of the cable package - IRBDP SW5 CE (SpotPack basic)OverviewThe position of the ball joint housing and gripping clamp on the adjustable bracket isdifferent depending on robot version.Adjustment procedureThe procedure below details how to adjust the position of the process cable package SpotPackbasic before commissioning.It is possible to place the ball joint housing and gripping clamp in different positions on theadjustable bracket in order to get the smoothest movements possible of the process cablepackage and preventing premature wear.Action Note1.DANGER!Turn off all electric power, hydraulic andpneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!For Foundry Prime robots:Do not turn off the air pressure to motorsand SMB.2.CAUTION!The cable package is sensitive tomechanical damage. They must be handledwith care, especially the connectors, inorder to avoid damaging them.3. Fit the ball joint housing and gripping clampon the adjustable bracket with the bracketsand attachment screws.Detailed in section Fitting the attachmentsof IRBDP SW5 CE (SpotPack Basic) onpage 61.NOTE!Place the axis 6 bracket in a way that axis5 doesn’t press the DressPack againstthe robot arm in any position ormovement in the working programs of therobot.NOTE!Do not secure the attachment screwscompletely at this point!
