Sequence setadvance proceeds in ascending sequence set index numbers subject to asynchronous advancecommands. After one sequence set cycle is complete, another one starts. Sequence set cyclerestarts are subject to asynchronous restart commands. In this use case, the Sequence Set Total Number parameter was set to six. Accordingly, theavailable sequence set index numbers range from 0 through 5. The frame start trigger is set forrising edge triggering.Assuming that the camera is in the process of continuously capturing images, the sequencerfeature operates as follows: When the sequencer feature becomes enabled, the sequence set cycle starts: The parametervalues of the sequence set with sequence set index number 0 are loaded into the active setmodifying the active set. When a frame start trigger is received, the camera checks the active set and uses it for theimage acquisition. The parameter values of sequence set 0 are used. An AsyncAdvance command is sent. After some delay, the parameter values of the nextsequence set will be loaded into the active set. It is assumed here that the delay betweensending the AsyncRestart command and it becoming effective will allow the acquisition of twomore images. When the next frame start trigger is received, the camera checks the active set and uses it forthe image acquisition. The parameter values of sequence set 0 are used. The delay between sending an AsyncAdvance or an AsyncRestart softwarecommand and it becoming effective will depend on the specific installation and thecurrent load on the network. Accordingly, the number of image acquisitions thatmay occur between sending the software command and it becoming effective cannot be predicted. Using the sequencer feature with Disabled sequence controlsource is therefore not suitable for real-time applications, it may, however, beuseful for testing purposes. We strongly recommend not to use the sequencer feature with Disabledsequence control source for real-time applications.
