The serial connection is used to issuecommands to the camera for changing modes and parameters. You can use the serialcommunication CSR to set the bitrate for the camera’s RS-644 serial port. The default setting is 9600 bps.The setting is changed immediately after the successful receipt of this command.Register Base Address: 0x0D00Field Name: Register Status Offset: 0x0000 Size: 1 Byte Type: Read onlyDescription: The integer value in this field indicates the status of this control and status register:0x00 = The register is not available0x01 = The register is available and all related settings are OK0x80 = A value in the register is set out of rangeField Name: Bitrate Offset: 0x0001 Size: 1 Byte Type: Read/WriteDescription: Writing an integer to this field sets the bit rate:0x0F = 9600 bps (default)0x11 = 19200 bps0x12 = 38400 bps0x13 = 57600 bps0x14 = 115200 bpsSee Section 2.9.1 on page 37 and Section 7.3 on page 196 for more information about serialcommunication.NoteWhen changing a setting for serial communication, use the followingprocedure:1. Resume communication. The RS-644 serial port on some Camera Link frame grabbers will only supporta bitrate of 9600. If you are using a Camera Link frame grabber, check thegrabber’s documentation before attempting to change the bitrate. At reset or power off/on, the camera returns to the 9600 bps setting.
