6. To tighten the belt, pull up on the shoulder beltwhile you push down on the child restraint.You may find it helpful to use your knee to pushdown on the child restraint as you tighten the belt.7. Push and pull the child restraint in differentdirections to be sure it is secure.To remove the child restraint, just unbuckle the vehicle’ssafety belt and let it go back all the way. The safetybelt will move freely again and be ready to work for anadult or larger child passenger.Airbag SystemYour vehicle has six airbags:• A frontal airbag for the driver and another frontalairbag for the right front passenger,• a seat-mounted side impact airbag for the driverand another for the right front passenger,• a roof-mounted side impact airbag for the driverand passenger directly behind the driver, and• a roof-mounted side impact airbag for the right frontpassenger and the person seated directly behindthat passenger.The roof-mounted side impact airbags are designedfor either side impact or rollover deployment.Frontal airbags are designed to help reduce the riskof injury from the force of an inflating airbag. But theseairbags must inflate very quickly to do their job andcomply with federal regulations.1-50
