Programmable AutomaticDoor LocksYour vehicle is programmed so that when the doors areclosed, the ignition is on and the shift lever is movedout of PARK (P), all the doors will lock. The frontdoor inside handles will remain active. The doors willunlock every time you stop the vehicle and movethe shift lever back into PARK (P).If someone needs to exit the vehicle once the doors arelocked, have that person use the manual lever orpower door lock switch for the rear doors. The frontdoors will remain unlocked from inside the vehicle.When the door is closed again, it will not lockautomatically. Use the manual lever or the power doorlock switch to lock the door.The power door locks can be programmed throughprompts displayed on the Driver InformationCenter (DIC). These prompts allow you to choosevarious lock and unlock settings. For more informationon programming, see DIC Vehicle Personalizationon page 3-66.Rear Door Security LocksYour vehicle is equipped with rear door security locksthat prevent passengers from opening the rear doors onyour vehicle from the inside.The rear door securitylocks are located on theinside edge of eachrear door. You mustopen the rear doors toaccess them.To use these locks, do the following:1. Insert your key into the slot next to the rear doorsecurity lock label and turn it to engage the lock.2. Close the door.3. Repeat the steps for the other rear door.The rear doors on your vehicle cannot be opened fromthe inside when this feature is in use.2-10
