Resuming a Set SpeedSuppose the cruise control is set at a desired speedand then the brake is applied. This shuts off the cruisecontrol. But it does not need to be reset.Once the vehicle is driving at about 25 mph (40 km/h)or more, press the +RES button on the steeringwheel. The vehicle will go back to the previous setspeed and stay there.Increasing Speed While Using CruiseControlTo increase the cruise speed while using cruise control:• Press and hold the +RES button on the steeringwheel until the new desired speed is reached,then release it.• To increase vehicle speed in small increments,press the +RES button. Each time this is done,the vehicle goes about 1 mph (1.6 km/h) faster.Reducing Speed While Using CruiseControlTo reduce the vehicle’s speed while using cruisecontrol:• Press and hold the SET– button on the steeringwheel until the desired lower speed is reached,then release it.• To slow down in very small amounts, press theSET– button on the steering wheel briefly. Eachtime this is done, the vehicle goes about 1 mph(1.6 km/h) slower.Passing Another Vehicle While UsingCruise ControlUse the accelerator pedal to increase the vehicle’sspeed. When you take your foot off the pedal, thevehicle will slow down to the previous set cruise speed.3-15
