To change the units fromEnglish to metric, see “Units” later in this section.Blank DisplayThis display shows no information.Vehicle Information Display Menu ItemsT (Vehicle Information): The following displaymenu items can be displayed by pressing the vehicleinformation button:Oil Life RemainingIf the vehicle has this display, it shows the estimated oillife remaining. If you see 99% Oil Life Remaining onthe display, that means that 99% of the current oil liferemains.When the oil life is depleted, the Change Engine OilSoon message appears on the display. You shouldchange the oil as soon as possible. In addition to theengine oil life system monitoring the oil life, additionalmaintenance is recommended in the MaintenanceSchedule in this manual. See Scheduled Maintenanceon page 6-4 and Engine Oil on page 5-16.Remember, you must reset the Oil Life yourself aftereach oil change. It does not reset itself. Also, be carefulnot to reset the Oil Life accidentally at any time otherthan when the oil has just been changed. It cannotbe reset accurately until the next oil change. To resetthe engine oil life system, See Engine Oil Life System onpage 5-19. The display shows 100% when the systemis reset.UnitsThis display allows you to select between English orMetric units of measurement. Once in this display, pressthe set/reset button to select between English orMetric units.Parking AssistIf your vehicle has the Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist(URPA) system, this display allows the system tobe turned on or off. Once in this display, press theset/reset button to select between On or Off. Ifyou choose On, the system turns on. If you choose Off,the system turns off. The URPA system automaticallyturns back on after each vehicle start. When the URPAsystem is turned off and the vehicle is shifted out ofPARK (P), the DIC displays the Parking Assist Offmessage as a reminder that the system has been turnedoff. See DIC Warnings and Messages on page 3-54and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist (URPA) onpage 2-51 for more information.3-50
