If a jack is provided withthe vehicle, it is designed only forchanging a flat tire. If it is used foranything else, you or others couldbe badly injured or killed if thevehicle slips off the jack. If a jackis provided with the vehicle, onlyuse it for changing a flat tire.If a tire goes flat, avoid further tireand wheel damage by driving slowlyto a level place. Turn on the hazardwarning flashers. See HazardWarning Flashers on page 5‑5.{ WARNINGChanging a tire can bedangerous. The vehicle canslip off the jack and roll over orfall on you or other people. Youand they could be badly injured oreven killed. Find a level place tochange your tire. To help preventthe vehicle from moving:1. Set the parking brake firmly.2. Put an automatictransmission shift lever inP (Park), or shift a manualtransmission to 1 (First) orR (Reverse).3. Turn off the engine and donot restart while the vehicleis raised.4. Thatwould be the tire on the otherside, at the opposite end of thevehicle.This vehicle may come with a jackand spare tire or a tire sealant andcompressor kit.
