When highhumidity is detected, the climatecontrol system may adjust tooutside air supply and turn on theair conditioner. If the climate controlsystem does not detect possiblewindow misting, it returns to normaloperation. To turn Auto Demist off oron, see "Climate and Air Quality"under Vehicle Personalisation onpage 5-47.Rear Window Demister= (Rear Window Demister):Press to turn the rear windowdemister on or off. An indicator lighton the button comes on to show thatthe rear window demister is on.The rear window demister can beset to automatic operation. See“Climate and Air Quality” underVehicle Personalisation onpage 5-47. When Auto Rear Demistis selected, the rear window demistturns on automatically when theinterior temperature is about 4°C(40°F) and below.The upper region of gridlines on therear window are aerial lines and arenot intended to heat when thedemister is activated.The heated outside rearview mirrorsturn on when the rear windowdemister button is on and help toclear mist or frost from the surfaceof the mirrors.{ CautionDo not try to clear frost or othermaterial from the inside of thefront windscreen and rear windowwith a razor blade or anythingelse that is sharp. This maydamage the rear window demistergrid and affect the radio's abilityto pick up stations clearly. Therepairs would not be covered bythe vehicle warranty.Driver and Passenger Heated andVentilated Seats (If Equipped):Press J or z to heat the driver orpassenger seat cushion andbackrest.Press C or { to ventilate the driveror passenger seat. See Heated andVentilated Seats on page 1-8.Remote Start Climate ControlOperation: If equipped with theremote start feature, the climatecontrol system may run when thevehicle is started remotely. Thesystem uses the driver's previoussettings to heat or cool the inside ofthe vehicle. The rear demist maycome on during remote start basedon cold ambient conditions. Therear demist indicator light does notcome on during a remote start.If equipped with heated or ventilatedseats, they may come on during aremote start. See Remote VehicleStart on page 2-7 and Heated andVentilated Seats on page 1-8.
