27NOTESAbout the LCD and viewfinder screen: Thescreens are produced using extremelyhigh-precision manufacturing techniques,with more than 99.99% of the pixelsoperating to specification. Less than0.01% of the pixels may occasionallymisfire or appear as black, red, blue orgreen dots. This has no effect on therecorded image and does not constitute amalfunction.LCD BacklightYou can set the brightness of thescreen to normal or bright. Doing sochanges the brightness of both the LCDand viewfinder screen.Hold pressed down for morethan 2 seconds.Repeat this action to toggle betweenthe normal and bright settings.NOTES• This setting does not affect thebrightness of the recording.• Using the bright setting will shorten theeffective usage time of the battery pack.Inserting and Removing a Memory CardOnly miniSD cards can be used withthis camcorder.1 Turn off the camcorder.2 Open the LCD panel.3 Open the memory card slot cover.4 Insert the memory card straightwith the miniSD label facing up, allthe way into the memory card slotuntil it clicks.5 Close the cover.Do not force the cover closed if thememory card is not correctlyinserted.First push the memory card onceto release it, and then pull the cardout.DISP.TO REMOVE THE MEMORY CARD
