When the first RP, forexample, RP 206.251.21.41 (which is also the originating RP), receives an SA message from thesource, it sends the SA message to its peers within the domain, but the peers do not send themessage back to the originator RP or to each other. The RPs then send the SA message to theirpeers in other domains. The process continues until all RPs within the network receive the SAmessage. RPs send join and prune messages to appropriate points on the multicast tree towardsthe originating RP.Configuring MSDP mesh groupTo configure an MSDP mesh group, enter commands such as the following on each device that willbe included in the mesh group.BigIron RX(config)# router msdpBigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# msdp-peer 163.5.34.10 connect-source loopback 2BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# msdp-peer 206.251.21.31 connect-source loopback 2BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# msdp-peer 206.251.17.31 connect-source loopback 2BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# msdp-peer 206.251.13.31 connect-source loopback 2BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# mesh-group GroupA 206.251.21.31BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# mesh-group GroupA 206.251.17.31BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# mesh-group GroupA 206.251.13.31BigIron RX(config-msdp-router)# exitRP RP RPPIM Sparse Domain 2PIM Sparse Domain 3PIM Sparse Domain 4RP 206.251.19.31RP 206.251.20.31RP 206.251.18.31RP 206.251.21.31206.251.14.22Source for Group232.1.0.95Designated Router (DR)1.
