Using the remote control 15DX-19LD150A11Connecting a basic home theater systemUsing digital audioTo connect a basic home theater system using digitalaudio:1 Make sure that your TV/DVD combo’s power cord isunplugged and the home theater system is turnedoff.2 Connect a digital optical audio cable (not provided)to SPDIF OUT jack on the back of your TV/DVDcombo and to the digital optical audio jack on thedigital home theater system.3 Reconnect the power cord to your TV/DVD combo.Using analog audioTo connect a basic home theater system using analogaudio:1 Make sure that your TV/DVD combo’s power cord isunplugged and the home system is turned off.2 Connect an audio cable (not provided) to the OUT/L,R (audio out) jacks on the back of your TV/DVDcombo and to the AUDIO IN jacks on the hometheater system.3 Reconnect the power cord to your TV/DVD combo.Using the remote controlInstalling remote control batteriesTo install the remote control batteries:1 While pressing the cover release latch on the back ofthe remote control, lift the cover off the remotecontrol.2 Insert two AAA batteries into the batterycompartment. Make sure that you match the + and –symbols on the batteries with the + and – symbols inthe battery compartment.3 Replace the battery cover.Aiming the remote controlTo aim the remote control:1 Point the remote control towards the remote sensoron the front of your TV/DVD combo.NoteTo play audio from the external audio system, makesure that the Speakers option on the AdvancedAudio sub-menu is set to External.
