See “Setting parental controllevels” on page 27.• Make sure that the channels are nothidden. The channel may have beendeleted from the channel list. You cantune to the channel by pressing thenumber buttons or you can add thechannel back to the channel list. See“Hiding channels” on page 25.• If you are using a cable or satellite box,use the remote that came with thatbox to change channels.• Make sure you have the correct inputselected to view channels from thecable or satellite box.• If you are using an antenna, the digitalchannel signal may be low. To checkthe digital channel signal strength, see“Checking the digital signal strength”on page 26.Password is lost. • Enter 9999 to access parental controls,then set a new password. See “Settingor changing the password” onpage 27.Some settingscannot beaccessed.• If a setting is grayed, the setting is notavailable in the current video inputmode.TV/DVD combocabinet creaks.• When the TV/DVD combo is in use, thetemperature rises naturally and maycause the cabinet to expand orcontract which can cause a creakingnoise. This is not a malfunction.Control buttonsdo not work• Make sure that the Button Lockoption is set to Off. See “Lockingcontrol buttons” on page 29.• Unplug the power cord, wait a fewseconds, then plug the cord back inand turn on your TV/DVD combo.TV/DVD combokeeps turning off• Make sure that the sleep timer is notturned on. This is not a malfunction.Playback featuresfailure. • The playback features such asstopping, skipping, or repeat play arenot applicable to all discs.The audiosoundtrack and/orsubtitle languagecannot be changed.• The disc does not have multilanguageoptions encoded on it.No subtitle. • The disc has no subtitle encoded on it.• Subtitle option is set to Off. PressSUBTITLE to select preferred subtitlesetting.“ ” appears onthe screen.• The function is not applicable to thedisc or to the current mode.Problem SolutionNo photo display. • Make sure the USB flash drive isconnected securely to the USB IN jackon the back of your TV/DVD combo.• The TV/DVD combo is not in USBmode. Press INPUT and select USB asthe input source.• Only those JPEG image files (with“.jpg” file extensions) can be displayed.Slide show does notstart.• Make sure you select slide show whenthe photo thumbnail displays.
