63Mounting- and Operating Instruction CEAG DualGuard-S 40071860347 January 2020 www.ceag.de24 CM.1 1,7 A Lademodule24 CM.1 1,7 A LademoduleThe CM.1 1.7A charging module is suitable for snap moun-ting on the DualGuard-S module subrack (max. two CM.11.7A) and is used in DualGuard-S systems with smallerconnected loads such as compact systems.In order to achieve the recharge time required by thestandard for the projected battery sets, a correspondingnumber of charging modules must be projected.The CM modules have their own calibrated charge controland function independently of the BCM.1 module. An inte-grated fan monitoring automatically reports faults in thetechnical ventilation.In order to save energy and extend the service life of thecharging modules, the charging modules are switchedon alternately during trickle charging. The maximum 32addresses are set at the factory using rotary switches. TheLEDs indicate the operating status of the charging module.Ready for operation (LED lights up).25 CM 3,4 A LademoduleThe CM 3.7A charging module is suitable for mounting onseparate charging module subracks with 1 to 8 slots and isused in DualGuard-S systems with larger connected loadssuch as large compact systems or floor standing cabinetswith separate battery accommodationIn order to achieve the recharge time required by thestandard for the projected battery sets, a correspondingnumber of charging modules must be projected.The combination of the CM.1 1.7A and CM 3.4A chargingmodules results in the necessary number for each batterysize.
