I.L.15.01.T.K. Page 13Effective June 2000remain on the emergency source until theexternal contact is opened, when user iscertain that the threat of problems haspassed. If the emergency source fails atany time when in the Area Protection mode, the switch will immediately transfer back tothe Normal source if it is Available. The MP1-E controller allows the Test/Areaprotection input to be disabled if the userwould like to prevent unauthorized usersfrom using the test switch or input contact.Optional Feature 29 - Manual Return ToNormal – MP1-E OnlyA manual operated momentary contact(normally open) operates in conjunction withthe Manual Return to Normal option toreplace the TDEN timing function. With themanual mode set, closure of this contact willprompt an immediate transfer bypassing theTDEN time delay. This ensures that a re-transfer occurs only at the discretion of theoperator.Optional Feature 32 - Time Delay NeutralProvides a time delay in the transfer switchneutral position when the load is transferredin one or both directions. This is to preventexcessive inrush currents due to out-of-phase switching of large inductive loads. Ifthe TDN timer is programmed to 0 seconds, the transfer switch shall operate as if theTDN option is disabled. Three optionalmodes of Neutral Time Delay are availableas programmable:(a) TDN(NE) – Time Delay Neutral (fromNormal to Emergency)(b) TDN(EN) – Time Delay Neutral (fromEmergency to Normal)(c) TDN(G) – Time Delay Neutral (Bothdirections)8.2 External OptionsThere are also external options that may beinstalled in a Cutler-Hammer AutomaticTransfer Switch. A brief description isprovided.Standard Feature 6D – 2 Position TestSelector Switch (TSS)Position 1 – “Auto”: The ATS will functionnormally, transferring to the emergencysource when normal power is lost.Position 2 – “Test”: The ATS will simulatethe loss of the normal source. The switchwill transfer to source 2 after the Time DelayEngine Start, and the TDNE has expired. The ATS will return to the normal positionwhen the switch is return to “Auto”.Option 6G is identical to the Test SelectorSwitch except key operated. Key removablein “Auto” position.Standard Feature 6H – 4 Position TestSelector Switch (FPSS)Position 1 – “Auto”: The ATS will functionnormally, transferring to source 2 whennormal power is lost.Position 2 – “Test”: The ATS will simulatethe loss of the normal source. The switchwill transfer to source 2 after the Time DelayEngine Start, and the TDNE has expired. The ATS will return to the normal positionwhen the switch is returned to “Auto”.Position 3 – “Engine Start”: The engine startcontacts will close, giving the genset a startsignal. This position can be used to test thecorrect connection of the engine startterminals, or as a remote start. Thecontroller with function normally and transferto the emergency if normal power is lost.Position 4 – “Manual”: This will disconnectthe transfer motor, and prevent transfers ineither direction. The ATS can be transferredonly by operating the manual transferhandle.Option 6J is identical to the Four PositionSelector Switch except key operated. Keyremovable in “Auto” position.Optional Feature 12C – NormalConnected Pilot light.A green 30mm indication light indicates thatthe load is connected to the normal source.Optional Feature 12D –Emergency Connected Pilot light.A red 30mm indication light indicates thatthe load is connected to the emergencysource.
