EATON HFX Product Family Installation and Operation Manual E-ELCL-II002-E2 July 201926HFX Product FamilyFigure 2: Analog/Digital Inputs Configuration tab.The programmer changes the configuration of anindividual input using the AIN mode value drop downselection.Note: That if any of the following auto configurations is selectedoffline, the state for the corresponding pull-up, pull-down, andcurrent shunt will change once the program is downloaded intothe application controller.Variables:• AIN mode: This represents the type of inputconnected.• Pull-up enabled: This is used in manual mode toactivate the Pull-up resistor.• Pull-down enabled: This is used in manual mode toactivate the Pull-down resistor.• Current shunt enabled: This is used in manualmode to activate the Current shunt resistor.• Filter time constant: This is a Digital low passfilter time constant that the input passes through, this is useful if you wish to filter out some randomvariation on the input or if you wish to reduce howquickly the input changes value.• DIN debounce: This is a time value used todebounce mechanical switches that wouldotherwise trigger the input multiple timeswhen closed.• DIN rising threshold: This sets the lower limitvoltage level necessary for the input to registeras high.• DIN falling threshold: This sets the upper limitvoltage level necessary for the input to registeras low. Used in conjunction with the above DINrising threshold, an appropriate hysteresis levelcan be defined.• Over-range limit: This sets the upper range limit forthe associated over range fault.• Under-range limit: This sets the lower range limitfor the associated under range fault.
