Oven Light Replacement (on some models)To remove the cover: To replace the cover:Do not remove any screws to remove the cover.Be sure to let the light cover and bulbcool completely.Hold a hand under the cover soit doesn’t fall when relased. Withfingers of the same hand, firmlypush back the wire cover holder.Lift off the cover.Place it into groove of the lighttreceptacle. Pull wire forward tothe center of the cover until its snapsinto place.1 1Connect electrical power to therange.1Replace bulb with a 40-wattappliance bulb.2WARNING:CAUTION:G6.35 BulbSocketTabGlass coverReceptaclebluB9GSocketTabGlass coverReceptacle(on some model )s(on some model )sSHOCK ORBURN HAZARD:BURN HAZARD: Before replacing ovenlight bulb, disconnect the electrical powerto the range at the main fuse or circuitbreaker panel. Failure to do so may resultin electric shock or burn.The glass cover and bulb should beremoved when cool. Touching hot glasswith bare hands or a damp cloth cancause burns.Turn the glass covercounterclockwise 1/4 turn untilthe tabs of the glass over clear thegrooves of the socket. wearing latexgloves may offer a better grip.Use a new 120/130-volt halogenbulb, not to exceed 50 watts.Replace the bulb with the same typeof bulb that was removed. Yourmodel will have one of the two typesshown on the left. To determinethe correct replacement bulb, checkthe bulb terminals. Bulbs with 2straight pin terminals are G6.35bulbs. Bulbs with 2 looped terminalsare G9 bulbs. (Do not interchange.)Be sure the replacement bulbs israted 120 volts or 130 volts (NOT12 volts).Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb by pulling it straight out.Oven Light Replacement (on some models)To remove:To replace:112 Push the bulbs straight into thereceptacle all the way.For improved lighting inside theoven clean the glass coverfrequently using a wet cloth. thisshould be done when the oven iscompletely cool.3Reconnect electrical poweer tothe range.5Place the tabs of the glass cover intothe grooves of the socket. Turn theglass cover clockwise 1/4 turn.4Using gloves or a dry cloth, removethe bulb from its packaging.
