Chapter 2. InstallationTransPort ® PT900 User’s Manual 372.6.4 Connecting the Analog Inputs and OutputThe PT900 provides one 0/4-20 mA analog current output and two 4-20 mA analoginputs, with a switchable 16 V supply for loop-powered temperature transmitters.Connect the analog inputs and output as shown in Figure 46 on page 36 (see thecable to the left). The pin numbers for the connector and the color code for thestandard input/output cable are shown in Table 2 below.Important: The Analog Output is an active mode type. Do not supply a 24Vsupply to this circuit, as the circuit is powered by the transmitter.2.6.5 Connecting the Energy CablesThe AIO port is commonly used for connecting a pair of energy cables to permitenergy measurements (see Figure 47 below).Figure 47: Energy Cable Connection (Right Side)Table 2: AIO Cable Wiring DiagramConnection Pin # Color DescriptionAout+ 1 Red 4-20mA OUTPUTAout- 2 Black 4-20mA RETURN16VDC 3 Blue +16VDC OUTPUTARTN 4 Yellow ANALOG INPUTS RETURNAIN1 5 Orange ANALOG INPUT 1AIN2 6 Green ANALOG INPUT 2SHD 7 Silver Cable Shield
