Current aircraft vertical speed (to the nearest 100fpm) becomes the Vertical Speed Reference at the moment of Vertical SpeedMode activation. This mode may be used for climb or descent to the SelectedAltitude (shown above the altimeter) since Selected Altitude Capture Mode isautomatically armed when Vertical Speed Mode is selected.When Vertical Speed Mode is activated by pressing the AP VS Softkey, ‘VS’is annunciated in green in the G3X Autopilot Status Box. The current VerticalSpeed Reference is displayed in the G3X Autopilot Status Box for 10 secondsafter a change is made. The Vertical Speed Reference is also displayed on thevertical speed indicator with a light blue vertical speed bug whenever VerticalSpeed mode is active.
