If the data length of the scanned bar code doesn’t match the valid readinglength, the scanner will ignore the symbol and continue scanning. You may wishto set the same value for minimum and maximum length to force the scanner toread fixed length bar code data. This helps reduce the chances of a misread.EXAMPLE: Decode only those bar codes with a count of 9-20 characters.Min. length = 09 Max. length = 20EXAMPLE: Decode only those bar codes with a count of 15 characters.Min. length = 15 Max. length = 15For a value other than the minimum and maximum message length defaults,scan the bar codes below, then scan the appropriate value and Save bar codeson the Programming Chart inside the back cover.
