44 User GuideRemoving the hard disk driveThe hard disk drive must be removed before you remove the metal system boardcover.To remove the hard disk drive, do the following:1. Remove the rear computer cover. See “Removing the rear cover” on page 42.2. To release the hard disk drive, use a flat-blade screwdriver or coin and pry upon the latch as shown in the following illustration.3. Rotate the hard disk drive outward, and disconnect the power cable and thesignal cable from the drive.4. Detach the hard disk drive from the system board cover, and set it aside.
