Front Panel8275-416 LEDs8275-416 LEDs are located at the lower left corner of the front panel (left ofthe single-digit display and are identified with a vertical bar (I), OK, andFault. The LED for the vertical bar is Green, as is the OK LED; the FaultLED’s color is amber. The states of the LEDs are on, off, or blinking, areexplained later in this chapter.Single-Digit DisplayThe single digit display is located at the lower left corner of the front panelas shown in Figure 2 on page 6. During diagnostics, the character displayedindicates the diagnostic test being executed. Once the 8275-416 isoperational, the character displayed is its Unit ID.Serial Port (EIA 232)The serial port is a standard DB-9 male connector that provides anEIA–232 serial interface (sometimes referred to as the out-of-bandmanagement port). Use a null-modem serial cable when connecting to aworkstation (see “Appendix C. Cable Pinout Diagrams” on page 79).
