Statement 2CAUTION:When replacing the lithium battery, use only IBM Part Number 33F8354 or anequivalent type battery recommended by the manufacturer. If your system has amodule containing a lithium battery, replace it only with the same module type madeby the same manufacturer. The battery contains lithium and can explode if notproperly used, handled, or disposed of.Do not:v Throw or immerse into water.v Heat to more than 100° C (212° F)v Repair or disassembleDispose of the battery as required by local ordinances or regulations.Complete the following steps to replace the battery:1. Read the safety information beginning on page v and “Installation guidelines”on page 11.2. Follow any special handling and installation instructions that come with thebattery.3. Turn off the server and all attached devices and disconnect all power cordsand external cables (see “Turning on the server” on page 7); then, remove theserver cover (see “Removing the left-side cover” on page 14).4.
