45• Before programming the remote forVolume, Channel or Transport Punch-Through, make certain that any pro-gramming needed for the specific TV,CD, DVD, cable or satellite receivers hasbeen completed.Reassigning Device ControlSelectorsAlthough each Input Selector e is nor-mally assigned to the category of productshown on the remote, it is possible toreassign one of these buttons to operate asecond device of another type. For exam-ple, if you have two VCRs but no satellitereceiver, you may program the “SAT” but-ton to operate a second VCR. Before fol-lowing the normal programming steps foreither Three-Digit entry or Auto Searchcode entry, you must first reassign the but-ton with the following steps:1. Press the Input Selector e you wishto reassign and the Mute Buttonat the same time until the red lightappears under the Input Selector eand the Program/SPL Indicator cflashes amber.2. Press the Input Selector e for thedevice you wish to program into thereassigned button.3. Enter the three-digit code for the spe-cific model you wish the reassignedbutton to operate.4. Press the same Input Selector epressed in Step 1 once again to storethe selection. The red LED under thereassigned Input Selector will flashthree times and then go out.Example: To use the CBL/SAT buttonto operate a second VCR, first pressthe Video 2/CBL/SAT Input Selectore and the Mute Button at thesame time until the red light glowsunder the Video 2/CBL/SAT Buttone. Press the VCR Button e, fol-lowed by the three-digit code for thespecific model you wish to control.Finally, press the Video 2/CBL/SATButton e again.Resetting the Remote MemoryAs you add components to your hometheater system, occasionally you may wishto totally reprogram the remote controlwithout the confusion of any commands,macros or ”Punch-Through“ programmingthat you may have done. To do this, it ispossible to reset the remote to the originalfactory defaults and command codes byfollowing these steps. However, once theremote is reset, all commands or codesthat you have entered will be erased andwill need to be reentered:1. Press any of the Input SelectorButtons e and the ”O“ Button rat the same time until the Program/SPL Indicator c begins to flashamber.2. Press the ”3“ Button r three times.3. The red LED under the Input Selectore will go out and the Program/SPLIndicator c will stop flashing andturn green.4. The Program/SPL Indicator cwill remain green until the remote isreset. Note that this may take a while,depending on how many commands arein the memory that need to be erased.5. When the Program/SPL Indicatorc goes out, the remote has beenreset to the factory settings.4343
