(The operation may berestricted with certain discs.)To switch the still pictures, press the PAGE % or PAGEfi button on the remote during playback.÷ Press the RETURN button to switch to the homestill picture.3-22 Switching the sequential playmodeThe player is capable of sequential playback using the400-disc stocker disc changer. If a DVD and/or VCD ismixed in the discs to be played sequentially, thesequential playback may stall in the middle while themenu remains displayed. In such a case, switch thesequential play mode of the player.Set the sequential play mode of the player to "SequentialOn" using the remote as described below. The DVDVIDEO playback will be skipped in order not to interruptthe sequential playback.(The display shows "SKIP DVD-V" to indicate this.)(DV-5900M)(The display shows "SKIP DVD" to indicate this.)(Other)When playing a VCD with menu playback or playing aDVD VIDEO, set the sequential play mode of the playerto "Sequential Off".Operation procedure1. Set the player to normal play mode (Track mode).¤÷ Set the player to stop mode.2. Each press of SEQ. button switches the sequentialplay mode of the player alternately.÷ The “SEQUENTIAL” indicator lights.÷ With a DVD AUDIO disc containing the recordingof menu, menu playback is not available.÷ With a P.B.C.-compatible VCD, playback isperformed by switching P.B.C. automatically to off.÷ When the sequential play mode is changed,"Sequential Off" or "Sequential On" is displayedon the TV screen.3-23 Repeat playbackRepeat playback allows you to play the desired audio orvideo repeatedly.Operation procedurePress the REPEAT button during playback to display the"MAIN" OSD. Each further press of the button switchesthe repeat icons as shown. q÷ This function may be unavailable with certain discs.÷ If the on-screen message or OSD is displayedoutside the TV screen when using a widescreen TVor similar monitoring device, set the "OSDPosition" setting to "Cinema". f÷ When the player is set to the repeat play mode, the"REPEAT" indicator in the display lights up. Thecharacter information display also shows the repeatmode information for a few seconds.÷ This operation is not available with a DVD withwhich the elapsed play time information is notdisplayed.÷ Repeat playback may also be unavailable duringP.B.C. playback of VCD.
