Select to switch Down Mixon or off. r4-4-1 Switching the audio languageWhen a VCD or a DVD containing the recording of audioin multiple languages is played, the language used in thevoice can be switched over. (The audio language can alsobe switched directly by pressing the AUDIO button.)Operation procedure1. Press the ON SCREEN button during DVD playbackand select the "SOUND" OSD by pressing the cursorup/down button.2. Move the cursor to ENG 5.1ch1 Dolby(Audio icon) bypressing the cursor left/right button, then press theENTER button.3. Select the desired audio language number by pressingthe cursor up/down button, then press the ENTERbutton.÷ With a DVD AUDIO disc, an audio languagenumber can be selected.5.1ch 96k 24b1 P. PCM(DV-5900M only)÷ With a DVD VIDEO disc, an audio languagenumber can be selected from up to 8 numbers.÷ With VCD, "Stereo", "L", "R" or "L+R" can beselected.÷ The default audio language set by the user isselected when the power is turned on or the disc ischanged. If the default language is not containedin the disc, the priority language defined for thedisc will be played back.4-4-2 Virtual Surround functionWhen playing a DVD recorded with Dolby DigitalSurround audio, powerful sound can be reproduced evenwhen you use only two speakers.Operation procedure1. Press the ON SCREEN button during DVD playback,and select the "SOUND" OSD by pressing the cursorup/down button.2. Move the cursor to Off (Virtual Surround icon)by pressing the cursor left/right button, then pressthe ENTER button.÷ The icon can be selected only when the playedsoftware is recorded in Dolby Digital audio (with2 or more channels).3.
