49 ENRemote control unitCause• No setup codes registered for the respectiveinput(s).• The remote control is set to a different opera-tion mode.• Batteries are exhausted.• The remote control unit is too far away fromthe main system, controlling angle is too large,or there is an obstacle between the receiverand the remote.• The audio cords and system control cords arenot connected properly.• No software is loaded in the source compo-nent.• An attempt is made to play a tape which isbeing recorded in the cassette deck.• The remote control has not been set to theoperation mode for the component you wishto control.Remedy• Register a setup code at the respective input(s).er• Press the source select keys or SOURCEkeys to select the appropriate operation mode.• Replace with new batteries.• Operate the remote control unit within thecontrollable range.• Connect properly referring to “Setting up thesystem”.• Place software in the source component youwant to play.• Wait until recording has completed.• Press the source select keys or SOURCEkey to activate the operation mode for thecomponent you want to control beforeoperation. wSymptomCertain inputs cannot be selected using theremote control.Remote control operation is not possible.In case of difficulty
