130 Keysight N5990A MIPI M-PHY Receiver Test User Guide4 CalibrationsWhen the DSGA is used, two calibrations are required at each data rate:one for Data0 and another one for the other channels. The calibration forData0 includes the switch. For the other channels, Data1 is calibratedwithout the switch.ProcedureFirst, the Sinusoidal Jitter is adjusted until the measured eye width iswithin specified limits. At each step, it starts with the default value and isthen recalculated based on the difference with the target value. Once thejitter components are set, a sweep over the differential voltage isperformed until the measured eye height is below the specified. Up togen3, the eye width and height values are obtained by using the histogrammeasurements of the DSO. For gen 4, the jitter measurement areperformed with the SigTest software. This procedure is repeated for different frequencies: fSJ0_RX, f SJ1_RX ,f SJ2_RX , f SJ3_RX , fSJ4_RX defined in the specificationsConnection DiagramRefer to the connection diagrams shown in the Connection Diagramsection of the ISI (w/Switch) Calibration test for M8020A, and N4903Bconfigurations.ParametersThe parameters used in Expert Mode for this calibration, are as follows:• Lane Under Test Termination Mode• Oscilloscope Bandwidth• Jitter Frequencies• Eye Width Target• Eye Width Max Variation• Eye Height TargetNOTE If the calibration fails and shows messages such as "The Eye -Height didnot reach a value above the target value of xx mV!" and "Check yoursystem connections and if necessary increase the Maximum CalibrationVoltage in Calibration properties, try to increase the MaximumCalibration Voltage amplitude value and run the calibration again.Repeat this step until it passes successfully.
