Keysight N5990A MIPI M-PHY Receiver Test User Guide 205HS Tests 5ProcedureThe data generator sends Burst-mode CJTPAT signaling with nominalamplitude settings while the DUT is configured for Terminated-mode.Short term random jitter, sinusoidal jitter and ISI are added to the signal.Rather than the compliance values as in Receiver Jitter Tolerance Test, asweep is performed by varying the SJ amplitude value from the InitialJitter Amplitude Step to Max Tested HFSJ Amplitude. The jitter amplitudeis tested over the defined Jitter Frequency Range and also at the givenAdditional Jitter Frequency values to find out how much jitter that the DUTcan tolerate. At each step, the BER is measured and compared with theTarget BER. The test will pass, if for all the frequency points, the maximumSJ that meets the Target BER is greater than the given Min User-DefinedSJ Amplitude. When the J-BERT is connected Online, the ISI Source can be selected as“Reference ISI Channel” or “J20”, instead of an external ISI Trace. If the ISIsource is selected as J20, “J20 Trace” parameter is enabled and can beselected as shown in Figure 125.Figure 125 J20 Trace for the Jitter Sensitivity TestConnection DiagramRefer to the connection diagrams shown in the Connection Diagramsection of the Test 2.1.2-HS-RX Accumulated Differential Input VoltageTolerance Test test.ParametersThe parameters used in Expert Mode for this test, are as follows:• Lane Under Test Termination Model• CDR Loop Bandwidth (if CDR is selected in the Special Parameterdialog, see “BERT Analyzer Settings”)
