Keysight N5990A MIPI M-PHY Receiver Test User Guide 189HS Tests 5ProcedureThe data generator sends Burst-mode CJTPAT signaling while the DUT isconfigured for Terminated-mode. In Compliance Mode, the differentialvoltage amplitude and the common-mode are set to the nominal values(200mV). In Expert Mode, two Level Pairs are tested, the differentialvoltage amplitude is set to the minimum (60mV) and maximum (245mV)conformance values while the common-mode is kept to the nominal value(150mV). No other signal impairments such as the ISI channel or the jittersources are added to the signal. In Compliance Mode, the Frequency Offset is tested for the maximum andminimum conformance level: +2000/-2000 ppm. At each step the BER ismeasured and compared with the Target BER to consider the pass/failresult.In Expert Mode, each Tested Frequency Offset value is tested over thegiven Tested Range. In this case, the result will show the minimum andmaximum frequency offset values at which the DUT works properly and thetest will pass if those values are within the spec limits. This test is performed for all selected HS lanes and gears. It is onlyrequired for the Terminated case. In Unipro Test Mode and with the option“Lane Test Mode” set to Simultaneously, the different lanes are tested inparallel for each gear.Connection DiagramRefer to the connection diagrams shown in the Connection Diagramsection of the Test 2.1.1- HS-RX Differential Input Voltage Amplitude Testtest.ParametersThe parameters used in Expert Mode for this test, are as follows:• Lane Under Test Termination Model• CDR Loop Bandwidth (if CDR is selected in the Special Parameterdialog, see “BERT Analyzer Settings”)• CDR Peaking (if CDR is selected in the Special Parameter dialog, see“BERT Analyzer Settings”)• CDR Transition Density (if CDR is selected in the Special Parameterdialog, see “BERT Analyzer Settings”)• CDR Loop Order (if CDR is selected in the Special Parameter dialog, see “BERT Analyzer Settings”)• Target BER
