6917. Nokia Limited WarrantyNokia Mobile Phones, Inc. (“NMP”) warrants that this cellular phone(“Product”) is free from defects in material and workmanship,according to the following terms and conditions:1. The limited warranty for the Product extends for one (1) yearbeginning on the date of purchase of the Product.2. The limited warranty extends only to the original consumerpurchaser (“Consumer”) of the Product and is not assignable ortransferable to any subsequent purchaser/end-user.3. The limited warranty extends only to Consumers who purchase theProduct in the United States.4. During the limited warranty period, NMP will repair, or replace, atNMP’s option, any defective parts, or any parts that will not properlyoperate for their intended use with new or factory rebuiltreplacement items. No charge will be made to the Consumer for anysuch parts. NMP will also pay for the labor charges incurred by NMPin repairing or replacing the defective parts. The external housingand cosmetic parts shall be free of defects at the time of shipmentand, therefore, shall not be covered under these limited warrantyterms.5. Upon request from NMP, the Consumer must provide informationto reasonably prove the date of purchase.6. The Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping the Product to NMPin Melbourne, Florida. NMP shall bear the cost of shipping theProduct back to the Consumer after the completion of service underthis limited warranty.7. The Consumer shall have no coverage or benefits under thislimited warranty if any of the following conditions are applicable:a) The Product has been subject to: abnormal use, abnormalconditions, improper storage, exposure to moisture or dampness,unauthorized modifications, unauthorized connections, unauthorizedrepair, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, improperinstallation, or other acts which are not the fault of NMP, includingdamage caused by shipping and blown fuses.b) NMP was not notified by Consumer of the alleged defect ormalfunction of the Product during the applicable limited warrantyperiod.c) The Product serial number plate or the accessory date code hasbeen removed, defaced or altered.d) The defect or damage was caused by the defective function of thecellular system, or by inadequate signal reception by the externalantenna.
