ContactsYou can save names and phonenumbers (Contacts) in the phonememory and in the SIM card memory.The phone memory may save contactswith numbers and text items. You canalso save an image for a certainnumber of names.Names and numbers saved in the SIMcard memory are indicated by .■ Search for a contactSelect Menu > Contacts > Names.Scroll through the list of contacts,or enter the first letter of the name forwhich you are searching.■ Save names andphone numbersNames and numbers are saved in theused memory. Select Menu >Contacts > Names > Options > Addnew contact. Enter the name and thephone number.■ Save numbers, items,or an imageIn the phone memory for contacts, youcan save different types of phonenumbers and short text items pername.The first number you save isautomatically set as the defaultnumber. It is indicated with a framearound the number type indicator(for example, ). When you select aname (for example, to make a call), thedefault number is used unless youselect another number.1. Ensure that the memory in use isPhone or Phone and SIM.See “Settings”, p. 32.2. Scroll to the name to which youwant to add a new number or textitem, and select Details >Options > Add detail.3. To add a number, select Numberand a number type.To add another detail, select a texttype or an image from Gallery.To search for an ID from the serverof your service provider if you haveconnected to the presence service,select User ID > Search. See “Mypresence”, p. 31. If only one ID isfound, it is automatically saved.Otherwise, to save the ID, selectOptions > Save. To enter the ID,select Enter ID manually.4. Enter the number or text item;to save it, select OK.
