ONLINE MODE3.4 Power Save FunctionE3- 63.4 Power Save Function3.4.1 Entering the PowerSaving Mode3.4.2 Exiting the PowerSaving ModeWhen the printer stays in any of the following statuses for thespecified length of time, it enters the power saving mode.• Online (Idle, communicating)• Pause• Error• Waiting for label to be removed• System mode (except for self-diagnosis, test print, sensoradjustment)• User system mode (except for dump)• Pause state of the expansion I/OWhen the printer enters the power saving mode, “POWER SAVINGMODE” is displayed on the LCD and the backlight goes off.When the following occurs in the power saving mode, the LCD wakesup.• A key is pressed. (Except for [RESTART] or [FEED] keywhich causes printing or paper feed.)• The head lever is released and locked.• The status of the pause or active signal of the expansion I/Ochanges.The LCD shows “POWER SAVING MODE” and the backlight goesoff again if no status change occurs on the printer for 30 seconds.The printer exits the power saving mode when:• printing (printing caused by a depression of the [RESTART]key is included.) is performed.• paper feed or re-print s caused by a depression of the [FEED]key• printing or paper feed is initiated through the expansion I/O• automatic calibration is performed• sensor adjustment is performed in the system mode• the printer receives commands - U1/U2, T, XS, IB or RFID-related commands
