2qFaxing to a GroupOnce you have programmed some One Touchkeys or Auto Dial numbers, you can use theseprogrammed locations to create groups. You canthen easily send the same fax to multiple locations.This is useful if, for example, you need to sendweekly status updates to all the members of a teamworking in separate locations.• You can program up to ten groups (see“Programming Groups” under Dial Directo-ries).• Each group can have up to 110 numbers.Sending a Fax to a GroupTo send a group fax, do the following:1 Load your document.2 Press the AUTO DIAL key. The display showsAUTO DIAL NO.3 Press the # key. The display shows GROUPSETTING.4 Press the number of the group you want tosend to on your numeric keypad.5 Press START. The display shows ENTRY ISOK?.6 Press START.To see a list of the groups and the locations withineach group, print a Telephone Directory. To do this:1 Press SELECT FUNCTION.2 Press the 6/REPORT PRINT One-Touch key.3 Press NO repeatedly until PHONE DIREC-TORY appears.4 Press YES .Receiving Faxes ManuallyAs long as your machine is not set to the manualreceive [TEL] mode, your machine automaticallyreceives faxes. If your machine is set to the manualreceive [TEL] mode, follow the instructions below.1 When the machine rings, press the HOOK/V.REQUEST key.2 Press the START key. MANUAL STARTappears on the display.3 After you receive the fax, a long beep tells youthat the transmission was successful.If you have the optional handset installed:1 When your telephone or facsimile machinerings, pick up the telephone handset. If aperson is on the line, carry on your conversa-tion.2 If a remote fax machine is on the line, or if aperson wishes to fax you a document after aconversation, press the START key.3 When MANUAL START appears on the dis-play, hang up the handset.4 After you receive the fax, a long beep tells youthat the transmission was successful.
