Available settings are from 1 to 6minutes.DIAL TONE DETECT: This function allows yourmachine to wait for and detect a dial tone beforeproceeding with dialing. Available settings areon and off.BUSY TONE DETECT: This function allowsyour machine to detect a busy tone whensending a fax. Available settings are on and off.MF(TONE)/DP(PULSE): This function controlswhat method your machine uses for dialing. Twodialing methods are in common use. DP, or dialpulse dialing, uses monotone pulses to dial anumber (like a rotary telephone). MF, or multi-frequency dialing (touch-tone), uses differenttones to dial a number. Available settings areMF and DP.PULSE DIAL RATE: If your machine is set topulse dialing, this function controls how quicklyyour machine sends out dialing pulses (the dialpulse rate varies in different countries). Avail-able settings are 10 pps, 16 pps and 20 pps.PULSE MAKE RATIO: Available settings are33%, 39% and 40%.PULSE DIAL TYPE: If your machine is set topulse dialing, this function controls the type ofpulse dialing used (different types of pulsedialing are used in different countries). Availablesettings are N, 10-N and N+1.
