28Shooting procedures when INTERVAL REC is ON1 Following basic operations of shooting and recordingaccording to “3-2 Basic Procedures”, lock the camerasecurely.2 Check that “i” is blinking in the display, and that the intervalrecording mode is selected.3 Press either REC START/STOP button, REC button on thehandle, or VTR button at the lens.Interval recording starts. Recording automatically stopsafter the specified TAKE TOTAL TIME, and the entirerecording is generated as one clip.“i” starts blinking in the display when the internal recordingmode is selected. “iREC” illuminates after recording starts.“iREC” blinks during a pause.The display in the viewfinder is the same as that in thedisplay window.The tally lamp illuminates during recording. If PAUSE TIMEis set at 2 minutes or longer, the tally lamp illuminates at 5-second intervals to indicate that it is paused. The tally lampalso blinks 3 seconds before recording starts.For continuous recordingPress either the REC START/STOP button, REC button on thehandle, or VTR button at the lens, again. Interval recordingresumes.To stop recordingPress the STOP button. Recording stops. Then, the cameraaccesses the P2 card to record the video stored in memorybefore recording stops. The record from the beginning of theinterval recording to the moment of pressing the STOP button isgenerated as one clip.To stop the Interval recording modeThe interval recording mode can be terminated by either:z Turning off the POWER switch of the AJ-SPX800Porz Setting the menu option INTERVAL REC MODE to “OFF”.Shooting procedures for the ONE SHOT mode ofINTERVAL RECAfter setting the INTERVAL REC mode, follow these steps:1 Following basic operations of shooting and recordingaccording to “3-2 Basic Procedures”, lock the camerasecurely.2 Press either the REC START/STOP button, REC button onthe handle, or VTR button at the lens.The AJ-SPX800P automatically goes into ONE SHOTpause mode after the specified REC TIME.3 Performs recording for the duration specified under theREC TIME option by pressing either the REC START/STOPbutton, REC button on the handle, or VTR button at thelens, and returns to ONE SHOT pause mode.4 Press the STOP button.The video and sound stored in memory are generated asone clip.To check the previous recording during a pausePress the RET button at the lens to put the AJ-SPX800P intoREC REVIEW mode. ONE SHOT operation continues after theREC REVIEW.To divide clips or to change the P2 card used forrecordingEven during ONE SHOT mode, clips will not be generated on theP2 card until the STOP button is pressed.
