We cannot be responsible forproblems that may be caused by a non-Panasonic toner cartridge or drum unit:– Damage to the unit– Poor print quality– Improper operationL In the printing process, heat is used to fusetoner onto the page. As a result, it is normalfor the machine to produce an odor duringand shortly after printing. Be sure to use thisunit in an area with proper ventilation.L To extend the life of the drum unit, the unitshould never be turned the power switch OFFimmediately after printing. Leave the powerswitch turned ON for a minimum of 30minutes after printing.L Do not cover slots or openings on the unit.Inspect the air circulation vents regularly andremove any dust build-up with a vacuumcleaner (1).L When replacing the toner cartridge or drumunit, do not allow dust, water, or liquids tocome in contact with the drum. This mayaffect print quality.Static electricityL To prevent static electricity damage to theinterface connectors or other electricalcomponents inside the unit, touch agrounded metal surface, such as the metalpart (2) before touching the components.EnvironmentL Keep the unit away from electrical noisegenerating devices, such as fluorescentlamps and motors.L The unit should be kept free from dust, hightemperature and vibration.L The unit should not be exposed to directsunlight.L Do not place heavy objects on top of the unit.L When you leave the unit unused for a longperiod of time, unplug this unit from the poweroutlet.L The unit should be kept away from heatsources such as heaters, kitchen stoves, etc.It should not be placed in rooms where thetemperature is less than 10 °C (50 °F) orgreater than 32.5 °C (90.5 °F). Dampbasements should also be avoided.Recording paperL Store unused paper in the original packaging,in a cool and dry place. Not doing so mayaffect print quality.Routine careL Wipe the outer surface of the unit with a softcloth. Do not use benzine, thinner, or anyabrasive powder.Moving the unitL The unit weights approximately 18 kg (39.7lb.).
