2.00 Exclusive HoldDescriptionAllows an extension user to place a call on holdexclusively and either make or answer anotherextension or outside call.A call held by “Exclusive Hold” can not beretrieved from any other extension.To place a call on exclusive hold, press theHOLD button twice.To retrieve a call placed on exclusive hold, simplypress the flashing line access button (PCO,GCO, SCO, PDN, SDN) on which a call is held.A call on exclusive hold can be retrieved only atthe extension that put a call on exclusive hold.A PITS telephone user can place as many callson exclusive hold as it has line access buttons.ProgrammingNoneConditionsThe extension users can not place the followingcalls on exclusive hold.• A call on ICM button• A call with Attendant Console• A call with Doorphone• Paging Announcement through built-inspeaker of PITSA call held on PCO button is always treated asexclusive hold and therefore it can not beretrieved from any other extension.If a held call has not been answered within thepre-assigned time, a warning tone may sound atextension which placed a call on hold.Refer to Section 3-E-2.00 “Held Call Reminder”for further information.If a held call is not answered within 30 minutes, itwill be disconnected automatically.Music on Hold will be sent to the held party ifavailable. For sending Music on Hold, priorassignment is necessary. Refer to Section3-E-1.00 “Music on Hold” for further information.OperationPlacing a Call on Exclusive HoldDuring a conversation with the other party1. Press the HOLD button.• The indicator on the button inuse flashes in green 60 wink.You hear confirmation tone 2and then no tone.2. Press the HOLD button again.• The flashing indicator changesto green 120 wink.• The other party is heldexclusively.Retrieving a Call on Exclusive Hold1. Press the green button that isflashing in 120 wink.• The indicator on the pressedbutton lights in green.• The held party is retrieved.• Talk to the other party again.(Supplement)To change “Exclusive Hold” to “Hold,” press theHOLD button again. Exclusive Hold and Holdalternate with each pressing of the HOLD button.4-E-2
