Thesubscriber has the option of answering callswhile monitoring or allowing the message tobe recorded without interruption. There aretwo modes in this feature: Hands-free andPrivate.Hands-free permits the subscriber to hear thecaller through the telephone’s speaker andanswer the call by lifting the handset. ThePrivate Mode alerts by tone and requires thetelephone handset to be lifted before themessage can be monitored.
