Making Audio Input/OutputSettingsNote• These settings are for adjusting the audiohandling.• "Echo Canceller" and "Auto Gain Control"should normally be set to "ON". Changingeither of these settings to "OFF" may result indegradation of the sound quality during a videoconference call.• "Output local site sound" should normally beset to "OFF".• When a mic is connected, feedback may occurif your voice is output through the TV speakers.In places where a mic is used, do not have yourvoice output through the speakers.• The items are displayed over 2 screens. Youcan move to the next or previous screen bypressing [R] or [B], respectively.1. Select "Audio I/O" and press [ENTER].• The audio input/output settings screen isdisplayed.2. Use [ ][ ] to select the following items for input:"Echo Canceller": Use [ ][ ] to select whetherto enable the echo canceller feature.– "ON" (default): Enables the echo cancellerfeature.– "OFF": Disables the echo canceller feature."Auto Gain Control": Use [ ][ ] to selectwhether to enable the auto gain control feature.– "ON" (default): Enables the auto gain controlfeature.– "OFF": Disables the auto gain control feature.Note• In order to set "Auto Gain Control", thesetting for "Echo Canceller" must be"OFF"."RCA input gain for Audio": Press [ENTER] anduse [ ][ ] to select the input gain for the AudioIn L/R jack (-42 dB to +4 dB) (default: -32 dB).Note• The value set for "RCA input gain forAudio" will be applied when "Auto GainControl" is set to "ON"."Audio output terminal": Press [ENTER] and use[ ][ ] to select audio output for during a videoconference call.– "HDMI 1" (default): Outputs audio from HDMI1.– "HDMI 2": Outputs audio from HDMI2.– "OFF": Audio is not output to HDMI.Note• When using a KX-VC1000 that has notbeen expanded for HDMI Dual Monitorsupport, "HDMI 2" is not displayed.• In the image output settings, when "VideoOutput" is set to "HDMI 1", "HDMI 2" is notdisplayed (Page 150)."Output local site sound": Press [ENTER] anduse [ ][ ] to select whether your own site’s audiois output to its destination during a video conferencecall.– "OFF" (default): Local site audio is not output.– "RCA": Local site audio is output through theAudio Out R jack.– "HDMI": Local site audio will be output to theHDMI(R) connection set in "Audio outputterminal".
