Menu Settings77VQT0V63About the white balance• When you take a picture with the flash, thewhite balance is automatically adjusted[except for [ ] (Daylight)/[ ] (Flash)].However, the white balance may not beproperly adjusted if the flash level isinsufficient.• The white balance cannot be set in simplemode [ ] and scene mode.About the white balance fine adjustment• You can finely adjust the white balanceindependently for each white balanceitem.• The white balance icon on the screenturns red or blue.• The white balance fine adjustment settingis reflected in the picture when using theflash.• The white balance fine adjustment settingis memorized even if the camera is turnedoff.• The white balance fine adjustment level in[ ] or [ ] (White set) returns to “0”when you reset the white balance usingWhite set [ ].• You cannot finely adjust the white balancewhen [COL.EFFECT] (P82) is set to[COOL], [WARM], [B/W] or [SEPIA].Press [ ] to display the [REC] modemenu and select the item to set. (P74)ISO is a measure of sensitivity to light. Thehigher the sensitivity is set, the less light isneeded to take a picture so the camerabecomes more suitable for recording indark places.• When setting to [AUTO], the ISOsensitivity is automatically adjusted from[ISO80] to [ISO200] according to thebrightness. (It can be adjusted from[ISO80] to [ISO400] when using the flash.)• The ISO sensitivity can be set to [AUTO],[ISO800] or [ISO1600] in [HIGH SENS.] inscene mode.• The ISO sensitivity cannot be set to[AUTO] in Aperture-priority AE,Shutter-priority AE or Manual exposure.• To avoid picture noises, we recommendreducing the ISO sensitivity, setting[NOISE REDUCTION] in [PICT.ADJ.] to[HIGH] or setting the items except[NOISE REDUCTION] to [LOW] to takepictures.
