Attaching the Lens CapWhen moving this projector or while not using it over an extended period of time, attach the lens cap.To prevent loss for the lens cap, please according to the following procedures, attach the lens cap with the string ofaccessories.Thread the thinner end of the string through the hole on the lens cap.1)Lens capStringThread the other end of the string through the hole on the bottom of the projector.2)Turn off the Power by following the procedure in "Powering Off the Projector" (1) Æ page 38). Removethe AC power plug from the wall outlet. Wait at least 1 hour and make sure the lamp unit andsurroundings are cool.Remove the lamp cover.2) Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the lamp cover fixing screw (×1) and remove the lamp cover.Remove the lamp cover by pulling it slowly toward the direction of the arrow.fRemove the lamp unit.3) Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the three lamp unit fixing screws (×3) until the screws turn freely.Hold the used lamp unit by its handles, and pull it gently from the projector.Attach the unused lamp unit.4) Insert the new lamp unit in correct direction. Tighten the three lamp unit fixing screws (×3) securelywith a Phillips screwdriver.Attach the lamp cover.5) Attach the lamp cover, and tighten the lamp cover fixing screw (×1) securely with a Phillipsscrewdriver.Attach the lamp cover by pushing it slowly opposite the direction of the arrow.fNoteWhen you replace the lamp unit with new one, the projector resets the runtime of the lamp unit automatically.f98 - ENGLISHChapter 5 Maintenance - Replacement
