In thisway, you can reduce the displayed figuredown to 1.– Up to 20 index signals can be searched for inboth directions.– The figure on the display decreases by1 each time an index signal is located.Recording Index SignalsIndex signals are recorded in the followingcases.– When a recording is started by pressing[REC(REC/OTR)].– When [REC] on the remote controller ispressed during recording.– When timer recording is activated.Note:– The index search function can only workcorrectly if the index signals are spaced atleast 3 minutes apart in the SP mode and5 minutes apart in the EP mode.Searching while checkingthe video cassettecontents (Intro-Jet Scan)The approximate beginnings of each recordedprogram are played in succession at the highspeed so that the program to be viewed can belocated easily.Preparations– Confirm that the TV is on and the VCRviewing channel is selected.– Press [VCR/TV] to select the VCR mode.– Load the pre-recorded video cassette.Operations1 Press [SEARCH].(This operation is performed while the VCRis in the stop mode or normal playback modewith the VCR on.)– The tape is rewound tothe beginning, andplayed for about10 seconds at the highspeed.
