To return to automatic digitaltracking control, press both buttons together.– For slow tracking adjustmentWhen noise bars appear during still or slowplayback, switch over to slow playback andadjust with the I and J button to reducethe noise bars.– For vertical locking adjustmentUse the I and J buttons to minimize anyvertical jitter during still picture playback.Other Automatic FunctionsAutomatic PlaybackWhen a video cassette without an erasureprevention tab is inserted, the VCR startsplayback automatically.VCR-off PlaybackWhen the VCR is off, an inserted videocassette can be played back by pressing[PLAY].Automatic RewindingWhen the tape reaches its end during recording(except for timer recording) or playback, it willautomatically be rewound to the beginning.During OTR, this function will not work.Automatic Switching Off andEjectionWhen the VCR is switched off, an insertedvideo cassette can be ejected by simplypressing [EJECT]. The VCR will eject the videocassette and automatically turn itself off again.S-VHS Quasi Playback (SQPB)It is also possible to play back tapes recordedin the S-VHS system.– Some picture noise may occur depending onthe type of tape used.– It is not possible to fully obtain the highresolution that S-VHS is capable of.– It is not possible to record in the S-VHSsystem with this VCR.
