Stop the tape.[PLEASE SET THE CLOCK.]– [TIMER (TIMER REC)] or [PROG./CHECK] has been pressed when theclock is not set.Set the clock.[PLEASE USE A CASSETTE WITH TAB.]– [REC (REC/OTR)] or [TIMER (TIMERREC)] has been pressed without a videocassette with an intact erasureprevention tab.Use a video cassette with an intacterasure prevention tab.[NO TIMER RECORDING HAS BEEN SET.]– [TIMER (TIMER REC)] has beenpressed with no timer programs.Set timer recording.[VCR IS IN THE TIMER STANDBY MODE.]– [POWER Í/I (VCR Í)] has beenpressed during the timer standby mode.Press [TIMER (TIMER REC)] to releasethe VCR from the timer standby mode.Self-diagnostic IndicationsThis VCR has a self-diagnosis and displayfunction. Indications are in the form of a singleEnglish letter plus two numbers, such as [H01].INDICATION: H∑∑, F∑∑CAUSE: Some trouble has occurred.(Numbers after H and Fdiffer according to the statusof the VCR.)REMEDY: Consult your dealer forfurther advice.The VCR will not operate correctlyThe symptom description is indicated inbrackets [ ].[The VCR display is not illuminated.]– The AC power cord has not beenconnected.Connect the AC power cord to the mainAC power.[The VCR display is illuminated but the VCRwill not operate.]– The VCR is in the timer mode.Press [TIMER (TIMER REC)] to operatethe VCR manually.– Safety devices are operating.Disconnect the AC power cord and waitfor 1 minute.
