Power-on key sequences are alsoused to place your scanner into firmware upgrademode for CPU and DSP firmware upgrades.The following table lists the power-on keysequences available in the PRO-106. Unlessotherwise specified, each sequence is invoked bypressing and releasing each key in sequence, oneat a time. Press PGM to enter Program Mode.2. Press GLOB softkey.3. Scroll to Set password, then press SEL key.4. The confirmation menu for the power-onpassword setting appears. Press YES softkey.5. Enter the four-character (four-digit)password. You can enter the characters usingalphanumeric text entry method. When youhave finished entering characters, press OKsoftkey to save the entry.Note: You can cancel the entry by pressingCancl softkey.To operate your scanner with power-onpassword:1. Turn VOLUME clockwise to turn power on.2. After the Welcome message is displayed, thescanner prompts you to enter the password.3. Enter your password.4.
