Such a set is called a page. The pages aregrouped into three main chapters, each of which is accessed using oneof the three main keys (DEPTH, SPEED or NAV). In addition, there is aSetup chapter that allows you to set the defaults for your system (seeChapter 4).The main types of information shown on a display page are describedbelow, with reference to the illustration on the previous page.Data ValueThe single-line displays, such as the example depth display, each showthe data value in digits 1” (25mm) high, so that it is easy to read from adistance. Other displays, such as the three-line page shown in page 21,show more lines of data with smaller characters. If no data is available for a displayed function, dashes are displayedinstead of the value.Text DescriptionA text description of the current function (such as DEPTH) is shown, followed by the units of measurement. For example, for the Depthfunction the units can be feet (FEET), metres (MTRS), or fathoms(FATH). You can change the default units and other information, asdescribed in Chapter 4.The position of the description depends on the type of display: for asinge-line display, the text is in the top line; for a multi-line display, thedescription is to the left of the data value, and the units to the right of thevalue.
